Infinite Uptime is seeking a VP of Process Reliability Products to lead the strategy, development, and execution of products focused on process visualization, monitoring, and optimization for heavy process industries, including cement, steel, oil & gas, mining, power generation, and chemicals.
This role will own the product portfolio that connects to PLCs, DCS, historians, and multiple data sources, transforming raw operational data into actionable process insights and optimization solutions that improve key manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, yield, quality, energy efficiency, emissions, and process stability.
You will guide a team of Product Managers and work closely with Engineering and AI teams to build scalable products that move customers from visibility → prescriptive intelligence → semi-autonomous process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute the product vision for:
- Process visualization & dashboards
- Process analytics & KPI management
- Prescriptive process optimization
- Decision support for operators and process engineers
- Build and own a multi-year product roadmap aligned with:
- Manufacturing performance improvement
- Autonomous operations strategy
- Customer business outcomes
- Champion the evolution from process monitoring to closed-loop optimization.
2. Heavy Industry Process Leadership
- Own industry-specific process solutions for:
- Cement (kilns, mills, coolers, preheaters)
- Steel & metals (furnaces, rolling mills, continuous casting)
- Oil & gas (compressors, separation, refining units)
- Mining & minerals (crushers, conveyors, grinding circuits)
- Power & chemicals (boilers, turbines, reactors)
- Translate real plant challenges into scalable product capabilities:
- Process instability
- Energy inefficiency
- Yield loss
- Quality variability
- Environmental compliance risks
3. Data Connectivity & Platform Integration
- Lead product strategy for connectivity to:
- PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems
- Historians (OSIsoft PI, AVEVA, Aspen, etc.)
- Edge devices and IoT sensors
- Enterprise systems (MES, CMMS, ERP where relevant)
- Ensure the platform supports:
- High-frequency process data ingestion
- Secure OT/IT integration
- Scalable data pipelines
- Real-time and batch analytics
4. KPI-Driven Process Optimization
- Define and standardize KPIs for process improvement, including:
- Throughput & capacity utilization
- Yield and quality consistency
- Energy consumption per unit
- Process stability & variability
- Emissions and compliance metrics
- Build products that:
- Visualize KPIs clearly for operators and engineers
- Correlate process behavior with business impact
- Recommend actions to improve performance
- Support “what-if” analysis and scenario modeling
5. Product Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers focused on:
- Process intelligence
- Visualization & UX
- Optimization & analytics
- Establish best practices for:
- Product discovery and validation
- Customer engagement
- Roadmap prioritization
- Outcome-driven product metrics
- Build a culture of customer-centric, data-driven product development.
6. Customer & Market Engagement
- Act as a senior product leader in customer interactions:
- Discovery sessions
- Executive briefings
- Solution demonstrations
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to:
- Drive product adoption
- Support enterprise deals in North America and Europe
- Shape industry-specific solution messaging
7. Ecosystem & Partner Strategy
- Define integration strategy with:
- Automation vendors (Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, etc.)
- Data platforms and historians
- Industrial AI partners
- Enable partner and customer extensions on the process product platform.

Required Experience & Skills
Domain & Industry Experience (Critical)
- 10–15+ years in product management, engineering, or industrial digital solutions for process industries, including:
- Cement
- Steel & metals
- Oil & gas
- Mining
- Power generation
- Chemicals & petrochemicals
- Strong understanding of:
- Process operations and workflows
- PLC, DCS, SCADA systems
- Industrial data historians
- Manufacturing KPIs and optimization techniques
Technical & Product Skills
- Experience building products involving:
- Industrial data ingestion & connectivity
- Real-time dashboards and visualization
- Process analytics and optimization
- AI/ML or advanced analytics for industrial use cases
